What are the possible side effects of Clindoxyl ADV?
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Check with your doctor immediately if any of the following side effects occur:
More common
- Dry skin
- Burning, itching, redness, skin rash, swelling, or soreness at the application site
- flushing or redness of the skin
- peeling
- sunburn
- unusually warm skin
- Cough
- difficulty with swallowing
- dizziness
- fast heartbeat
- hives or skin rash
- puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
- tightness in the chest
- unusual tiredness or weakness
Other side effects not listed may also occur in some patients. If you notice any other effects, check with your healthcare professional.

Side effects of Clindoxyl ADV in details
Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with this medicine. Itching (pruritus)
Dry skin
Skin redness
Skin tingling

Tell your doctor if you do not feel well while
you are using Clindoxyl ADV Gel.
Clindoxyl ADV Gel helps most people with
acne but it may have unwanted side effects in a
few people.
All medicines can have side effects. Sometimes
they are serious, most of the time they are not.
You may need medical treatment if you get some
of these side effects.
The gel may cause slight itching and burning
and make your skin feel warm, especially
when it is first applied. You may also notice
flaking and redness of your skin during the
first few weeks of use. These effects are
normal; if they bother you, try using the
product less often for a while, or stop for a few
days and start again.
If you suffer severe burning, peeling or
itching, or other effects not mentioned in this
leaflet, you should stop using Clindoxyl ADV
Gel and go back to your doctor for advice.
Clindoxyl ADV contraindications
Clindoxyl ADV Gel must not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to Clindamycin (Clindoxyl ADV), lincomycin, Benzoyl Peroxide (Clindoxyl ADV), or any of the excipients in the formulation.
